Your own pace

No one else's schedule. Your party is the whole group, so Dead Woman's Pass is taken at the speed that's right for you.

A crew you know by name

Our own guides, cooks and porters from the Lares valley, with us for years, paid above the legal porter wage.

A rested Machu Picchu morning

Day 4 ends with a hot shower and a celebration dinner at Inkaterra. Machu Picchu comes the next morning, fresh.

Included in every trek

Your trail ends at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo.

Twelve acres of cloud forest on the river below Machu Picchu: your own casita, a hot shower, a fire, and a celebration dinner with your crew's cook as the guest. In the morning, a short bus ride and your private guide at the gate while most hikers are still walking in from the Sun Gate.

Other operators finish the trail with a three-star in town and the citadel the same afternoon, or sell Inkaterra as an upgrade. For us it's the standard finish, on both prices.

Two prices. Everything included.

Per guest, in U.S. dollars, for the full private five-day trek with the Inkaterra finish.

How 2027 booking works

2027 permits go on sale when Peru's Ministry of Culture opens them, expected in November, and the peak months sell out that week. Deposited parties are bought first.

"The guides were knowledgeable, supportive, and passionate about sharing the rich history of the Incas... Reaching Dead Woman's Pass was tough, but the sense of accomplishment at the top made every step worth it. Arriving at Machu Picchu through the Sun Gate at dawn was a moment I'll never forget."
